The SeaBest project envisages and works to close the circle from seaweed spore to a high quality finished organic food product using an industrial and large-scale approach for the first time ever in Europe. In the project, key solutions developed by SES will be validated through demonstration activities throughout the value chain and brought to commercial readiness. We will also work actively with the European food market and together with key customers and market partners develop innovative food products using seaweed as a healthy and sustainable new ingredient with mainstream market appeal.
The project is supported by EU’s SME-Instrument phase 2 which is targeting highly innovative European SMEs with global market potential. SES won this grant in strong competition with 1850 other projects across Europe and we are proud to receive this proof of excellence from the EC.
SeaBest started on 01.03.2019 and has a duration of 24 months. This website will be updated and contents will be increasingly added according to the project’s progress.
